People get sick more frequently than others due to a mix of genetics, lifestyle habits, and daily exposure levels. Biological factors like age, genetic immune response, and underlying conditions dictate how fast your body neutralizes threats, while habits like poor sleep, high stress, and poor nutrition directly weaken immune cell activity. Additionally, spending more time in crowded or poorly ventilated environments and having frequent physical contact with others simply increases the number of viruses and bacteria you encounter.
