Chambal and its tributaries form
extremely deep ravines (excavated land) on its both
sides under Madhya Bharat Plateau in the northern
part of M.P., which forms a gully erosion of deep
ravines in this region. The ravine erodes alluvial soil
in the form of gully erosion.
