Aravalli Hills lies in the north-west of Malwa
Plateau. This plateau is a part of Central Madhya Pradesh
and South-eastern Rajasthan. The vegetation here is
Savana, with scattered Sagon and Saal forests. Aravalli is
the oldest mountain in the geographical structure of India.
It is the oldest mountain range in the world. The highest
mountain peak of Aravalli is ‘Gurushikar’ ( 1727m) in
Sirohi district, which is in Mount Abu.
