    The NITI Ayog has replaced the Planning
    Commission and a new institution called The NITI Ayog
    was formed on 1st Jan., 2015. The Prime Minister is the
    Chairperson of the NITI Ayog. It focuses on fostering
    economic development and cooperative federalism. It
    serves as an Advisory Think Tank.
