“Basi” is the one day old food taken in the
morning by the Baigas. It consists of coarse grains, such
as Kodo millet and kutki with very little flour. Pej is another
kind of food taken by the Baigas in afternoon. It is a kind
of drink made from maize and left water of boiling rice.
