There are two styles of Pandwani folk song
prevalent in Baghelkhand-
(1 ) Kapalik : In this style of Pandwani folk singing “Kapal
” of singers is used. Famous singers of Kapalik style are
Teejanbai, Shantabai, Usha Bai Barle.
(2) Vedmati : This style of Pandwani folk singing is based
on signifying tradition. Famous singers of Vedmati style
are Ritu Verma, Punaram Nishad, Panchuram, Revaram,
Lakshmi Bai, Mr. Jhaduram Dewangan.
