The triangular plateau situated between
Narmada-Son valley and Aravalli mountain is Central High
Land. Yamuna river forms its northern boundary.
Vindhyachal, Bhander and Kaimur ranges are situated in
this region. Chambal, Betwa, Ken, Kalisindh. Parvati and
Kshipra are the major rivers of this region. This region is
a part of the Ganges river basin.
