    An indefinite ban on sand digging in
    the Narmada River was imposed by the Chief
    Minister Shivraj Singh Chauhan on 15th May., 2017.
    A committee was formed for preservation of
    Narmada under the Chairmanship of the Industries
    Minister Rajendra Shukla.
    Note : In the Year 2019,Pukhraj campaigen has been
    launched to stop illegal sand mining and transportation
    in Narmada and its tributaries.
