The original Archaeological Museum on
the top of the Sanchi hill was actually founded by Sir
Johan Marshall. The Sanchi Museum, currently run by
the Archaeological Survey of India, Bhopal, is located
right in front of Vigyan Bhawan down the hill. In which
the antiquities obtained at the time of excavation of John
Marshall Sanchi Stupa are preserved.
