Narmada river originates from 1,051
feet Maikal Range of Amarkantak Mountain
(Anuppur dist.). It flows from east to west and falls
in the Gulf of Cambay (near Bharuch in Gujarat).
Chambal river is originated from Janapav (Mhow,
dist. Indore) from height 616 feet. Its length is 965
km. and it confluences Yamuna in Etawah.
Tapti River is originated from Satpura mountain range
of Multai (Betul). Its length is 724 km. Flowing
towards west it ends in the Bay of Khambat near
Surat.
Betwa river is originated from Vindhya mountain
at Kumragaon village of Raisen dist. (M.P.). It is
480 km long. It merges in Yamuna near Hamirpur.
