(a) Chambal Valley Project is the first river project of
Madhya Pradesh. It was started in 1954. It is a
joint project of Madhya Pradesh and Rajasthan.
There are 3 Dams on it :
l. Gandhi Sagar Dam – Mandsaur.
2. Jawahar Sagar – Kota (Rajasthan).
3. Rana Pratap Sagar – Chittod (Rajasthan)
(b) Bargi/Avanit Bari Sagar project – Started in 1974,
river Bargi-Jabalpur, irrigation capacity I .5 Lakh
hectare.
(c) Bagh project – On Bagh river in district Dhar.
(d) Tawa project – On confluence of Tawa and Denwa
river in district Hoshangabad.
