forested state of India. Total forest cover in M.P.
including Dense, Medium and Open area is 77,482
sq. km. (25.14 %). Arunachal Pradesh is 2nd and
Chhattisgarh is 3rd. The recorded forest area of
Madhya Pradesh is 94,689 sq. km. (30.72 % of state
area).
