Malajkhand Reef is formed of cracks derived
of plate tectonics occured in the granite rocks in Balaghat
dist. Here, quartz reef and veins have been located. Copper
depoists are highest in this reef. Pyrite and Molybdenite
depoits are also found in this reef with large amount
deposits of chalcopyrite, azurite, goethite, bornite,
chaleocite, covellite. A huge deposit of copper is also
present in Malajkhand mines under Baihar plateau in
Balaghat dist.
