Due to the origion of maximum rivers
from the Maikal Range, it is called as a watershed.
The rivers like Narmada, Son, Johila, Bijul, Gopad
and Banas originate from Maikal Range (in the
eastern part of the Satpura-Maikal Range) in M.P.
Maikal Range divides the water running towards the
Hallon River into several streams such as Fen,
Gaurduni, Gashmiri and Gondla.
