    M.P. Transport Department works under
    the provisions of Section 213 of the Central Motor
    Vehicles Act, 1988. The Transport Department has been
    set up primarily to implement the provisions ofthe Central
    Motor Vehicles Act, 1988 and M.P. Motor Vehicles
    Taxation Act, 1924 ( 1993 amended).
