Characteristics of meristematic tissues are
(i) Cells are usually rectangular with a thin cell wall
made up of cellulose.
(ii) They are closely arranged without any intercellular
space.
(iii) They show a prominent nucleus and are full of
cytoplasm.
(iv) They are always capable of division.
