In terms of pollution Betwa river is
known as the Ganga of Madhya Pradesh. Betwa
river originated from Kumaragaon village of Raisen
District (M.P.). It mainly flows upward through
Vidisha dist. Betwa river is 480 km long. Its ancient
name is Vetravati river. It is the tributary of Yamuna
river. Betwa river is known as the lifeline of
Bundelkhand.
