Municipal Corporation is set up in
every big City exceeding the population of one lakh
The no. of wards in Municipal Corporation is 40 to
70. Mayor is the political head of the Municipal
Corporation. Mayor is directly elected by the voters.
At present, there are 16 Municipal Corporations
Madhya Pradesh.
These are : Bhopal, Dewas, Khandwa, Gwalior,
Indore, Jabalpur, Mudwara (Katni), Ratlam, Rewa,
Sagar, Satna, Ujjain, Bhurhanpur, Singrauli, Morena
and Chhindwara. 2 Municipal Corporations are
proposed as Bhind and Datia.
