As per the request of Rashtrabhasha
Prachar Samiti, Wardha (Mah.), the 14th Sept., is declared
as the Hindi Diwas. Actually, on the 14th Sep., 1949 the
Constituent Assembly conferred upon Hindi, the status
of Rajbhasha. First time, Mahatma Gandhi recognised
Hindi as the National language in 1917.
