‘Hardaul ki Manauti’ is a valour song
performed in Bundelkhand region. Hardaul was a great
warrior in the region who sacrificed his life to prove his
fair/holy relation with the queen. Lala Hardaul is
considered as a folk deity throughout Bundelkhand. Here,
the first marriage invitation card is served to Lala Hardaul
and the women sing the Bhat-Manauti (rice) for Hardaul
to complete the marriage successfully. People come from
all over Bundelkhand and Baghelkhand to offer the cards
on the platform of Lala Hardaul located in Orchha.
