The fort of Ater is situated on the northern
bank of the Chambal River. It is situated deep inside the
ravines of Chambal. It’s original name is ‘Devagiri Durg’.
It was built by Bhadauria King Badan Singh, Maha Singh
and Bakhat Singh in the year 1664-1668. After them, this
area is known as “Badhwar”. This fort is a unique example
of Hindu and Mughal architecture.

Rani ka Bangla Barah Khamba Mahal
