    The first evidence of Sati Pratha (in Gupta
    period) was found from Eran inscription. It is situated in
    Sagan It was mentioned in an ancient article of 510 BC
    that Gopraj, the soldier Naresh Bhanu Gupt of Gupta
    dynasty was killed in a war and his wife become Sati.
