“Kanya Saksharta Protsahan Yojana”
Aim : The prime goal of this scheme is to encourage the
girl child to pursue higher studies after they have
completed 10th standard.
Eligibility :
•  The girl students belonging to Scheuled Caste and
Scheduled Tribe categories, who have got admitted
in the 10th standard and belonging to Government
funded schools are eligible.
•    Also the girl students belonging to all categories and
studying in 8th standard of Kasturba Gandhi Balika
Vidhyalaya, who are unmarried can get benefit under
this scheme.
Salient Features :
•    This scheme is a Centerally Sponsored Scheme.
•    The Government of India deposits an amount of Rs.
3000/- in the bank in the name of the girl child.
•    The amount will be paid to the girl child when she
becomes 18 years old and completes her 10th standard.
