The Fort of Asirgarh built by Aasha (Ahir
king) in 10 th century is known as “Gateway of South”. It
is situated in Burhanpur district. Here, there is a temple
and statue of Aasha Devi. This fort is related to the death
of Mumtaj (Anjuman Banu Begum).
