    In the Year 1986-87, the Kabir Award was
    instituted by the Department of Culture, Govt. of M.P.,
    with the aim to honour poetic talent in the field of Indian
    poetry. Under which a cash amount of Rs. 3 lakh is given.
    In time this award was given to Gopalakrishna Adiga in
    the Year 1986-87.
