Increasing water supply, lack of
infrastructure, limited energy supply etc. are the major
hindring elements of industrial development in M.P. the
other elements following are;
1.  Low economic status and lack of capital investment
and infrastructure.
2  Regional inequality and dependence on agriculture.
3.  Lack of incentives by the local government in private
sector industries.
4.  Lack of research and industrial policies
5.  In the context of M.P.’s public sector industry.
