“The Old Seminary” built in the 15th century
near Chanderi is known as Ujar. The four verandas of the
Seminary give it a grandeur. This Seminary has an
entrance door while three more walls have beautiful
lattices on the upper part. It was built in 1450, under the
patronage of Mahmud Khilji. This beautiful structure is
actually the tomb of a madaris (teacher) and alim (patriarch)
of Darul Uloom (University). who was in service at that time.
