• Sahariya tribe resides in North Western districts of
M.P.- Guna, Shivpuri, Bhind, Morena, Vidisha, Raisen.
• They are native of Shahabad Jungle (extended from
Kota to Guna).
• They belong to Kolerian Race. Their place of
habitation is known as Sahrana whose head is known
as Patel. Sahariya are generally bonded labourers
caused by debt trap.
• They are highly influenced by Hindu religion and
Hindu rituals.
• Dul-Dul Ghodi, Tejajai and Lehanga are their main
dances.
• Sita, Durga and Bhairav are their main dieties.
• Dusshera, Diwali, Rakshabandhan, Holi, Navratri and
Makarsankranti are their main festivals.
