Red-Yellow soil is mainly found in
Baghelkhand region i.e. Mandla, Dindori, Balaghat,
Anuppur, Umaria, Sidhi, Singrauli and Shahdol. It is
2nd largest soil of M.P. Its red colour is due to oxidation
of iron and yellow colour is due to presence of ferric
oxide. Its pH value is between 5.5-8.5. Its area is
18.30 % of the total area of M.P.
