Alluvial soil is mainly found in north-
west dists.of M.P. i.e. Bhind, Morena, Sheopur,
Gwalior, Sprawling over 30 lakh acre area (7.57 %),
epsecially in the plains of Bundelkhand and Chambal
region. It is formed by the deposits of Chambal river
and Gneiss rocks. It is spread in 3% area of the
state.
