According to Acharya Ramchandra Shukla,
Jagnik was born in 1230 A.D. He was the court poet of
Kalinjar King Parimal Dev. Jagnik was a warrior too.
Main Copositions : Jagnik composed ‘Parimal Raso’ and
‘Aalhakhand’. Alhakhand was first time scripted by Sir
Elliot and was translated in Hindi by Munshi Ram Swarup.
It is an epic based on the life of two great warriors Alha
and Udal. It is divided into 52 parts and is the world’s
largest folk tale.
