(i). An act has also been passed as Ladli Laxmi Act 2010.
Benefits under Ladli Laxmi Yojana
l. Under the scheme, national saving certificate will be
issued in the name of girl child by the Statae Govt.
continuously from her birth year to her 5 years of age
(total amount of Rs. 30,000). Money will be paid to the
beneficiaries in the following manner;
(i) Rs. 2,000 on her admission in class 6th.
(ii) Rs. 4,000 on her admission in class 9th.
(iii) Rs. 7,500 on her admission in class 11th.
(iv) After admission in class 11th Rs. 200 per month will be
given to the girl for two years.
(v) Rest amount in addition to Rs. 1 Lakh will be paid after
class 12th or attaining the age of 21 years, provided that
the girl has not been married at the age of 18 years.
2. It is mandatory to register the birth of the girl child in
any Anganwadi center within 1 year of birth (applicable
for the girls born after 2006).
