Balram Jakhar has been the speaker
of Lok Sabha from 1980 to 1989. He elected an
MP from Firozpur Lok Sabha seat in 1980. Mr.
Jakhar was the Governor of M.P. from June,
2004 to 30th May, 2009.
1. India’s ninth Lok Sabha Speaker Balram Jakhar
was the Speaker of the Lok Sabha for the longest
time (9 years 10 months and 27 days).
2. Balram Jakhar, a congressman, was on 23rd
August, 1923 in Panchkosi village(Firozpur district
of Punjab).
3. He was also elected from Sikar(Rajasthan) Lok
Sabha seat.
