Laxmibai was the queen of the Maratha
ruled state of Jhansi and the second martyr of the first
Indian freedom struggle of 1857. On 18th June 1858, Rani
Laxmi Bai died along with her bodyguard Jhalkari Bai
while fighting against the Bristish army at the Sarai Kota
near Gwalior. Her Tomb is located at Poolbaagh in Gwalior.
